The Autistic SENCO
The Autistic SENCO was founded by Emma, an experienced SENCO, educator, and advocate for neurodivergent learners. As a neurodivergent professional and a mother to four neurodivergent children, Emma brings both personal and professional insight into the challenges faced by families navigating the education system. She understands firsthand the importance of tailored support, understanding, and advocacy in ensuring that neurodivergent children thrive.
With over 20 years of experience in supporting children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences, Emma is passionate about creating inclusive, strengths-based approaches that empower neurodivergent learners. Through expert guidance on EHCP applications, inclusive teaching strategies, and neurodiversity training, The Autistic SENCO helps parents, schools, and professionals secure the best possible support for children and young people.
In addition to consultancy services, Emma provides specialist 1:1 tutoring tailored to neurodivergent students, focusing on maths GCSE, English coursework, and essay writing skills. Her approach is flexible, student-centred, and designed to build confidence alongside academic success.
The Autistic SENCO is committed to advocacy, education, and empowerment, working to create a world where neurodivergent children are understood, supported, and given the opportunities they deserve.
